Dissection is archaic, desensitizing and ultimately a poor way to learn science. It teaches us how to lack compassion and empathy for animals and many states recognize that and gives students and educators a way out. But not every state does. PETA helps people make the right choice to opt out of dissection.
Samantha Suiter, PETA's Manager of Science Education, talks about the alternatives that exist today and how you can contact PETA if dissection is being forced on you as a teacher or student.
