Every first Saturday in May, horse racing celebrates itself with the running of the Kentucky Derby. But this year's event (2023) has been marred by the death of a would-be participant and by the deaths of three other horses at the historic home of the derby, Churchill Downs.  Kathy Guillermo, PETA Sr.VP who heads up the team exposing horse racing cruelty, talks about the deaths this year and how they contribute to the sport's demise.

See more at PETA.org about the recent death of a would-be participant.
