Will loose monkeys sink the profitable international lab monkey business in the U.S. Dr. Lisa Jones-Engel, PETA Science Advisor and a one-time primatologist with the National Primate Research Center, talks to Emil Guillermo about the recent Pennsylvania truck accident where four monkeys escaped, possibly infecting the public with viruses and diseases. The monkeys had just flown in from Mauritius and had yet to be quarantined. Jones-Engel says tens of thousands of monkeys are transported each year and are public health hazards waiting to happen.
