Dr. Francis Collins, the director of the National Institutes of Health, announced he is leaving at the end of 2021. PETA has been calling on him to resign since August. His departure means the biggest supporter/enabler of animal torture and experimentation in government-funded research can now be replaced with someone who is a true visionary of modern science. It could be a major breakthrough that saves animals, redirects money to science that works, as well as help the American public who expect NIH to produce medical advancements.

Kathy Guillermo, PETA Sr. PETA explains what's at stake for science, the country, and lab animals.
