Thanks to a whistleblower, PETA has filed a federal complaint over animal mistreatment at the University of Alabama-Birmingham's xenotransplantation lab. One animal, in particular, a baboon named Laja suffered lesions and was treated unconventionally with Woolite. She suffered and had to be euthanized. The university admitted to using Woolite but not to any wrongdoing. See the video of Laja and take action by writing UAB's president to stop the experiments that are supported by corporate donations of nearly $20 million.
Go to PETA.org and see the video of Laja and other animals in the UAB lab.
